My aim with this mini set of brushes is to give you an easy introduction to digital watercolor in Procreate. I bring you a brush set that I think is simple to use, it needs no fancy canvas, no layers (apart from if you wish to add white highlights), and with one stroke you can create beautiful watercolor art really simply.

I spent a whole 3 months perfecting this brush set and creating different art with it, I wanted to make sure it was perfect and as simple to use as I could possibly make it. (you can see my art with this brush on my Instagram account @sketchwerx).

I will be creating tutorials with this brush set to help you on your way, I also added a quick one in the product images, but in the meantime, just get a feel for this brush by having a little play around with different pressures and what they do.

Tips:

1. Try to keep the Apple Pencil in contact with the screen until you have finished painting your shape or area. This will create a more realistic watercolor effect. By adding pressure to your pencil when painting, you will be able to change the flow of the paint, for example, lighter pressure creates lighter washes and heavy pressure creates darker areas within your stroke.

2. Stamp your paper texture first, resize to fit your canvas. Add a new layer beneath your texture layer, and then start your painting on this layer.
