Best Pencils for Drawing and Shading

Pencil drawing is like a fairy tale, I was used to since my childhood. When I first started my art college back in 1995, this was the very first craft I was introduced to after familiarizing myself with the quality and forms of different paper sheets. Visual arts also have the foundation which no one can bypass or avoid, and the base of every visual art is drawing, there is no doubt about it. If you have a good drawing, you can then even have better use of Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelPainter or whatever the modern tool you want to use for your commercial or personal design or fine arts project.

If you have a very good or even excellent command over your drawing skills, then nothing is difficult for you to even animation, because the base of any remarkable animation is also a very very good drawing. If you cannot draw good anatomy then you can not create characters which are appealing and depicting the core of their inner characters. Drawing is so important that every animation or feature film first starts with an idea, and artists transfer that idea on the paper through pencil and then they further develop the complete storyboard which is also a drawing.

Pencil Drawing Motivations

These days learning drawing usually starts with the help of a pencil and usually you move to different kind of pencils like HB, 2B, 4B and so on. Then after the simple lead pencil drawing (here I’m specifically just talking about pencil drawing, there are vast mediums of drawing tools like charcoal, crayon etc.) you move to its advanced stage and that is color pencils drawing in which you add color details to your pencil drawings. There are many remarkable pencil drawings on the internet, if you google the pencil drawings, you will find lots of amazing simple lead pencil or color pencil drawings., I suggest you visit these sites frequently because this will keep you motivated to move from good to excellent. Devianart website is another good source of information. I suggest you visit these sources to get yourself motivated.

Pencil drawing is not a simple task but it requires a lot of practice and patience, it’s just like a learning Violin, in which first you don’t produce any good musical sounds but with the help of practice for a time long time you become the master of Violin. Same is the case with a pencil drawing, the more you practice, the more your drawings become impressive and professional. With the practice, you learn new techniques in your own way and develop your own unique methods to achieve different drawing tasks.

Best Drawing Equipment

For starting drawing, you need some art equipment which is a must have for every artist. The equipment you normally use, whether you are a master of drawing or just a beginner in learning drawing, you must have these drawing tools in your studio (if you are a professional illustrator or artist) or in your bedroom or living room (if you are a beginner or just started learning drawing). In both cases, you need these types of equipment for sure. Below are some recommendations of these must have tools which you can easily  buy from Amazon:
